Location: Tagaytay City
Type: Mainly Filipino
Average Price Per Dish: P250-P650
One of the latest most popular resto in Tagaytay simply because it is partly owned by the other half of Aldub. We arrived at around past 11:00 am on a Sunday. Among the four resto in the Cliffhouse this is the only one full of customers - around 75% full that time.
We got lucky to be seated inside. See there's pambansang bae hiding LOL
We were greeted inside by very friendly manager and attentive staff.
There are plenty of tables occupied yet the orders arrived very quick.
Salmon Belly Sinigang sa Miso - P300
Just the right amount of sourness to this yummy sinigang BUT I find the serving and bowl a bit too small for the price.
Crispy Hito with Mango Salad - P280
One of the unique dish this resto serves is this deep fried hito. The taste is worth the price and the mango salsa is a perfect combination. Yummy find.
Lumpiang Sariwa - P130
The lumpia fillings is bit mushy and composed mainly of kamote in crepe wrapper. Didn't like the taste that much. I find it a bit pricey for a single serving.
CONCHA's Kamoteng Turon - P100
The famous kamoteng turon. Mashed yellow kamote with langka in lumpia wrapper is yummy. The chocolate and caramel sauce completed its yummy flavor. Must Try! And I love the presentation by the way.
Blueberry Cheesecake Slice - P140
It's a baked cheesecake! I find the blueberry topping a bit thin and its not that moist. In terms of taste it's good.
Pandan Lemon Grass - P100
Hindi puno sa rim! In terms of taste its just okay.
House Blend Iced Tea - P95
Nothing special except it is served in red mug.
The window above where Alden took a photo when it was still under construction
I love this wall display. Feels so homey.
They have few cakes that day
There is a pasalubong shop beside the resto where you can shop by various food items and stuff.
If you are an Aldub fan you are familiar with this bibi logo
Fell in love with the bathroom haha especially this lightings and round mirror. One of the best and clean I've been to.
Taal volcano view at the Cliffhouse which adds it beautiful ambience.
Overall Concha's is a homey, cool and cozy place to dine. I love the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff but in terms of food some dishes needs improvement in flavor and servings. Next time hoping to try their meat dishes. Just be sure to come early on weekends to avoid waiting.
See this waiting peeps and there are more ariving as we left.
