Pasalubong Treats

If you ever get to visit Cavite City and wants Cavite City made food to bring as PASALUBONG here are some of Lutong Cavite's recommendations in no particular order.

BIBINGKA SAMALA
This famous bibingka from Cavite City is actually a biko than a bibingka. It comes in two varieties: malagkit and pinipig. This sweet smelling kakanin has the aroma of coconut oil, panocha and burnt banana leaf.

Available at Samala Kitchen Delights near BDO

ROBINSON'S TAMALES
Made of ground peanuts and galapong that is steamed and wrapped in banana leaves. It looks simple at first sight but requires a very tedious process to make. Cab be eaten purely as it is or the Caviteñean way of spreading it as bread filling.

Available at Orence Food House beside National Bookstore

ANDREA's PANCIT MALABON's INIPIT
Inipit is two slices of sponge cake with custard filling.

Available at Andrea's Pancit Malabon near McDonald's

BALOY'S ENSAIMADA DE CAVITE
The baby among the group. This ensaimada also comes in others flavors like ube, macapuno, dulce de leche. And can be bought per piece or in a gift box at 12 pieces.
