Binangkal is a Visayan hard doughnut snack with sesame seeds.


1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup water
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp vanilla flavor
sesame seeds

Sift flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder.  Mix brown sugar, water, oil, and vanilla. Mix to blend.

With a teaspoon, scoop batter and drop into a bowl of sesame seeds. Roll between palms to form a round mixture.

Drop into prepared tray. Heat pan until  temperature is moderate. Fry in deep hot fat until brown (slightly dark brown). Serve.
