Las Tiendas : Aguinaldo Park Kawit, Cavite

Las Tiendas is a food bazaar located in Aguinaldo Park every Friday to Sunday 5 pm til night.  Tienda means ‘store” in Spanish.

Initially this was a Christmas project by the Kawit government for the holidays for Kawiteños but since it became a hit, they decided to turn it into a weekly year long event. Even the Christmas lights in the park and Aguinaldo mansion was not removed and seems will stay whole year round.

Around two dozen of food stalls can be found. One thing I notice no single stall is selling the same food item except the ihaw-ihaw which has two stalls. I think it’s a rule and a good one to ensure the variation of foods being sold to enjoy.

Here is our MUST TRY and MUST TRY HARDER foods sampled ...

Adm’s RIBS - P119 (medium)

Best food find of the evening. Yummy baked ribs at an affordable price. Wish they have mashed potatoes and vegetables sidings but I guess not yet advisable because of the target market.

Ihaw-Ihaw (bbq, isaw, betamax atbp.)

The sticks are a bit pricey compared to your suking bilihan sa kanto but all yummy.
The not so sour vinegar dip complements the inihaw so well.

They are also selling as rice meal.
Just pick your raw inihaw choices and they will give you a stub to claim it few minutes after.

Krustee's BANANA LOAF - P98
Krustee's TARTLETS - P48 (both pineapple and apple flavor)

Yummy must try mini tarts that are sold by 4 pieces and banana cake loaf.

Dalandan Juice - P50

Refreshing

Guyabano Cucumber Juice - P50

Good blend

RIBBON FRIES - P80 (small)

Looks yummy but problem - under fried. A few minutes after serving its already very soft and no longer crunchy. Ang tipid-tipid pa ng lagay ng cheese.

NACHOS - P120

The white sauce is not sour cream but milky cornstarch sauce. Even the ground meat lacks in flavor.

For now this weekend food bazaar is not yet as huge as the likes of Legazpi or Salcedo Market but definitely has a huge potential. Hopefully more stalls will be added in the for more variety of foods and stuffs being sold.

Yes stuff, this is the only stall that is not food . Lola and lolo are selling beautifully crafted tissue boxes. I wonder how much sales they are able to make but this is a good sign. Wishing more stall of products will be added. Legazpi market started with few stalls as well.

If you are looking for a relaxing weekend evening with not so expensive food trip then hang out to kill time with friends, family or loved ones this is a nice place to go if you live nearby.

NOTE:  Stalls are subject to change.
