Tortang Giniling

Torta is a Filipino omelette of Spanish influence which is so diverse that you can use whatever ingredients you want. This torta recipe is a way of recycling leftover Carioca into another delicious meal.


1 cup letfover Carioca
2 eggs
oil for frying

Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan. Spread Carioca evenly. Beat eggs until foamy before pouring it to the mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes then flip on the other side just like a large pancake. Serve with catsup.


  1. This will taste better, if cooked on top of a banana leaf, just heat the banana leaf first on top of the stove, then put it in the frying pan then cook the giniling mixture on top of the banana leaf :) mas yummy :)
