Chocolate Walnut Cookies
Ingredients:
250g butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
2 cups (250g) plain flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon bicarb soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
chopped walnuts
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
In large bowl beat together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl combine the flour, cocoa, bicarb soda and salt then stir into the butter mixture until well blended. Mix in the walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking trays.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven or just until set. Cool slightly on the baking trays before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
