Last year was privileged to be one of the participants in the very first organized Cavite food and culture tour of Mr. Ige Ramos in collaboration with CaviteX called Lasa ng Republika : The CAVITEX Food and Culture Tour. On its second year, Lasa ng Republika is held entirely in Aguinaldo Shrine, Kawit, Cavite..
Viaje Feliz: Lasa ng Republika 2 is a food adventure event presented this time by CALAX (Cavite Laguna Express) featuring purveyors from the Calabarzon Region.
Powered by the Republic of Taste Food Network, the project aims to bring together people with people, farms with markets, eaters with eateries, shoppers with shops and travelers with inspired destinations. Purveyors from Calabarzon and Cavite Province gathered together in Aguinaldo Shrine, Kawit, Cavite last July 15.

Viaje Feliz: Lasa ng Republika 2 was conceptualized to sustain interest in the CALAX project by introducing some of the more notable foodie destinations in Cavite.
But what is CALAX ? Watch this video
CALAX will ease travel through the fast-growing areas of Kawit, Imus, General Trias, Dasmarinas, and Silang in Cavite, as well as Sta. Rosa and Biñan in Laguna, and will also provide a new corridor for a safe and reliable commute through Southern Tagalog. The P34.5-billion CALAX will start from Cavitex in Kawit, Cavite and end at the SLEx-Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan, Laguna. With eight interchanges and one main barrier, it will consist of a 45-km long four-lane expressway between these two points through congested residential and industrial areas in Kawit, Imus, General Trias, Dasmarinas, and Silang in Cavite, and finally to Sta. Rosa and Biñan in Laguna.
With an expected completion date of 2020, an estimated 5,000 jobs will be created during the construction phase of CALAX. Employment will be generated, not only by those who will design, build and operate the facility, but also through the creation of other jobs and economic opportunities for those who invest, work, live or commute within the Cavite-Laguna corridor.

Big Ben's sukang sasa is super sarap - MUST TRY !!!
Aguinaldo Shrine was chosen as the event venue, not merely for its significance in our history, but because it is also the mid-point between CAVITEX and CALAX.
Thank you Aguinaldo Shrine for being the venue again of another eventful Cavite food adventure. GRACIAS Sir Ige Ramos :)
