๐ It's Finally Out! ๐
One of the best ways to preserve Chabacano is by teaching it to children through engaging and enjoyable visual learning materials.
The Chabacano dictionary project began in March 2024 when Ms. Che Enriquez, one of the influential stakeholders in the city decided to privately finance and collaborate with Lutong Cavite to publish a Chabacano dictionary specifically designed for children. Her goal was to create an engaging and educational resource that would help preserve and promote the Chabacano language among younger generations. After nearly two months of organizing content, designing the layout, and managing the publishing process, the project was finally completed.
With ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ร๐ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ข๐จ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ, we hope to finally address the long-standing city need for basic Chabacano teaching resources for young learners.
By imparting Chabacano to children, we ensure the preservation of our city's unique traditions, customs, and values passed down through generations. Chabacano Caviteรฑo is not just a means of communication; it embodies the essence of Cavite City's history, social norms, and collective experiences.
On behalf of Ms. Che Enriquez, our generous publisher who spearheaded this Chabacano Caviteรฑo preservation advocacy project, we extend our heartfelt thanks.
MARAMING-MARAMING SALAMAT PO! GRACIAS! ๐
