Cavite City : 16th Century Simborio - The Santa Monica Church Belfry

Located in Magallanes Street , the Santa Monica Church Belfry is the sole surviving part of one of the numerous Spanish era churches in Cavite City. Santa Monica Church which was under the Recollects was built sometime in the early years of the 17th century. During the 17th century, the port city experienced economic and religious success. That is why various church orders built different churches around the city. However, none of these churches remained intact due to the war that took place.

This is how the entire church looks like before the bombing in the entire city.

This is a drone video of the current look of the simborio that sadly almost the entire population of the city has either forgotten and the young generation is not no longer aware of how much is its real value.
