MESA: Filipino Moderne

Resto Name: MESA: Filipino Moderne
Location: SM Bacoor
Type:  Modern Filipino
Average Price Per Dish: P200-P500

The latest dining resto in SM Bacoor that started last June 15. After many time of postponement because of the weekend weather we finally dined in.

Classic yet simple interiors. Loved the way how they use woods in interiors and furnitures.

Even the tissue holder - pinag-isipan

Unique and customized dining utensils

This is not a camera trick. The glass of water is really distorted in shape haha

Bottomless Iced Tea - P80
Tasted fresh not powdered. Sulit for the price.

Watermelon Shake - P85
Super yummy and refreshing. MUST TRY !

Tinapa Roll Lettuce - P165
Who would ever thought tinapa, salted egg and tomatoes can be turned to a lumpia appetizer and it work! But the lettuce didn't add anything except presentation LOL

Tofu Sisig - P150
The yummiest tofu sisig so far to date. MUST TRY !

Laing 2 Ways - P190
The yummiest laing I ever tasted although bakit mas konti ang serving nung dried. MUST TRY !

Crispy Boneless with Mangga Salad - P360
We ordered grilled ito but what was served was crispy. We didn't complain and just devoured in this yummy dish. The mango was yummy and so is the bagoong. The hito was perfectly fried.
MUST TRY!

When e are almost finished the Grilled Hito arrived to our surprised. There was confusion in the order so we didn't take it anymore since we had already eaten the fried one. Just hope it was ot salary deducted to the kitchen staff.

 Tinapa Rice - P180
Major let down dish. Contains 1 teaspoon tinapa, half egg and half tomato in contrast to the yummy pictures posted online na ang daming tinapa, egg and tomatoes. The tinapa flavor can't barely be tasted. Not worth the price.

Sinigang Na Salmon Head - P275
A bit too sour for our taste but serving is worth the price.

Pinatayong Manok - P480

If weren't for the picture the chicken would have been hanged for less than a minute. The waiter started chopping it immediately upon serving.

In pictures online this was served with two sauces but they only served this with one.
The serving and taste is not worth for its price. Way yummier and crispier was the one served in HapChan na bordering na sa lechon.

Overall this is one of the best modern Filipino themed food resto. Service was fast. The service crew are all very attentive tha even serving of soup they automatically assist you.

Two top ABS executive are dining outside on our way out. Do you know their names?
