Porta Vaga Church


The Porta Vaga Church or Sta. Monica Church in Cavite City in 1899 next to the old wall of the city. Only the belfry remains of the old church that got destroyed during world War 2.

  1. Santa Monica Church is different from the Ermita that houses the Nuestra Senora de Soledad. The church in the picture here is the Ermita. The Recollect Church Sta Monica was not located near the front wall of Porta Vaga. The belltower left standing now is that of Sta Monica, not of Ermita.
